ANGELS IN WHITE TEDDY BEARThis bear is one of our special angels, handmade exclusively for The Angel Company. Standing 12 inches high she is a fully jointed bear with detachable angels wings. Dressed in voile with a dried flower halo and wearing a crystal necklace, she has cream fabric fur. Every bear is totally unique as the stitching and availability of fabric means that no two bears, like angels, are exactly alike. We even think they have their own expression! | Did you know...? Facts ... Religious writings give no indication of when angels were first created; the existence of angels is assumed from the earliest times. Angels are purely spiritual or bodiless persons, some of whom behold the face of God and thus are in bliss. These spiritual beings comprise the celestial court and are called angels , from the Greek word for "messenger", because, according to the Bible, they carry out God's missions and commands and they can at times assume bodily form in order to execute these missions. Not all of these missions relate to the care or stewardship of individuals - according to the Bible, their missions are sometimes of great importance - for example, the Annunciation. References to angels are numerous in the New Testament and seven orders are mentioned: Angels, Powers, Principalities, Dominions, Thrones and Archangels and the Old Testament specifically mentions two others Seraph, plural Seraphim and Cherub, plural Cherubim. Angels have been graced with freedom, power and great wisdom, and their many appearances in the New Testament are an indication of the important role which had been assigned to them.Like us, they are the objects of God's grace and love. But because, unlike us they are non-bodily creatures, their response to God's love did not require time and reflection to grow and mature. As soon as they were created and received grace, they had the opportunity to respond to God's love and thus be welcomed into bliss. While many did so, some did not.Both the New Testament and Old Testament refer to the angel who has fallen. The Temptation of Adam and Eve presupposes the existence of bad spirits or demons who were cast into hell from which they have no hope of redemption.Perhaps the most significant continuing activity of the good angels is to be the agents of God's particular providence for mankind.
